Tuberculosis (TB) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality world wide, and around 3 million deaths are attributed to TB annually. Causative agent for Tuberculosis infections is M.tuberculosis bacteria, the disease spreads primarily through airborne transmission. Several TB detection techniques have been developed, such skin test, sputum smear, chest X-ray. Serological testing of IgM/IgG antibodies to M.tuberculosis by ELISA is helpful to detect infections in early stage or respectively the immune status of the patient.
